[00:00:00]

Welcome to the divine worth podcast, where we are letting go of our self doubt anxiety, fear, and limiting beliefs so that we can step into the divine roles that God has for us. I am your host life coach, Karen Papin, and together we are embracing our divine worth.

Welcome to the Divine Worth Podcast. Today we are talking about something that brings joy into our lives no matter what we are going through. It is something that helps us to be able to recognize God’s love for us and to be able to see our worth because we feel that love. And that is Gratitude. Elder Dieter F.

Uchtdorf has said that no matter our circumstances, no matter our challenges or trials, there is something in each day to embrace and cherish. There is something in each day that can bring gratitude and joy if we will only see and appreciate it. End quote. Gratitude helps us to see [00:01:00] God’s hand in our lives.

And it helps us to be able to see and feel his love for us. It helps us to turn our perspective around in difficult situations, and it opens our eyes to the ability to see blessings in our lives. When we really take the time to be thankful, we can recognize that he Has really done so much for us and on an individual basis as well.

I have a gratitude course done through email called recognizing God’s love, where each day for seven days, you’ll receive a gratitude prompt with a mini lesson about how that prompt helps you to see him in your life. This course can be found at Karen papin. com forward slash gratitude course.

So this episode is a little different today, because what we’re going to do is take some time to ponder some of these prompts through a gratitude [00:02:00] meditation. So with that in mind, let’s begin. I invite you to get in a comfortable position and if it is safe to do so, gently close your eyes. Take a deep breath in

and slowly release.

Take another deep breath in

and release.

Breathe in deeply from the belly

and slowly release.

Take a moment to notice what is around [00:03:00] you.

What can you see? Even with your eyes closed, imagine the shapes, colors, or light in your surroundings. What can you hear? The soft hum of a fan, or the refrigerator, or birds outside, or just the quiet stillness of the room.

What can you smell? Maybe the faint aroma of something nearby, like a candle, fresh air, or the scent of your own skin.

What can you feel? The texture of the surface beneath you? The warmth of your body? Or even that gentle heartbeat within you?[00:04:00]

Breathe deeply and let yourself feel present in this moment.

Now picture a place in nature that you love. A place that brings you peace. It could be a forest, a mountain trail, a beach, or even your backyard.

What is it about this place that fills you with

joy What is it about this place that fills you with peace?

Is it the sound of leaves rustling in the wind? Or maybe it’s the sparkle of the sunlight on the water? Or [00:05:00] even the smell of the earth after rain?

Let yourself be fully there in your mind, feeling grateful for this sanctuary that soothes your soul and reminds you of all that God has created.

Reflect now on the small, simple choice in your life. Maybe it’s the warmth of the sun on your face, a smile from a loved one, or maybe it’s a little gentle laugh with a friend.

Think of these moments and allow yourself to feel [00:06:00] gratitude for them. Think of something

small you’ve accomplished recently. It might be something as simple as doing the dishes. Or maybe it’s offering a kind word to someone, or just showing up or getting out of bed when it is hard to do so. Celebrate these small victories, they are steps forward on your journey.

Bring to mind the people who bless your life, family, friends, mentors, [00:07:00] even strangers who have shown you kindness.

Take a moment to picture their faces in your mind. And allow yourself to feel gratitude for the ways that they have enriched your life.

With each person that comes to mind, send a silent thank you to them, acknowledging their role in your story.

Now reflect on the experiences you’ve had, both recent experiences and also ones within the past.

Consider the [00:08:00] moments that brought you joy, that taught you something new. or that deepened your connection with others. What experiences stand out as blessings?

Now reflect on those experiences that were hard or difficult, a difficult situation that you may have faced. While it may have been painful or hard, try to find a lesson within it. What did those experiences teach you? How have they shaped you into who you are today? [00:09:00] And allow yourself to feel gratitude for the growth that came from that challenge, even if it’s still ongoing.

Allow yourself to feel gratitude for your ability to survive, and to overcome, and to turn to the Lord in times of need.

Take a moment to look for the ways the Lord guided you through those situations and let you know that He was there.

Take a deep breath in, holding all these feelings of gratitude in your heart.

Slowly exhale, [00:10:00] letting your gratitude expand outward.

When you’re ready, gently open your eyes.

Carry the spirit of gratitude with you throughout your day, and notice how it transforms the way that you see the world.
